We are pleased to offer you the fabulous furniture of Los Angeles designer Thomas Bina, who’s relaxed, natural and chic style is the perfect fit for us here at Brass & Burl.
His rustic Californian style mixes North American black walnut with Brazilian Peroba Wood, Chilean Guanacaste and white oak, alongside other reclaimed exotic hardwoods.
Each item of Thomas Bina’s furniture range is made by hand and totally unique. An expert at using recycled materials, he creates bold and elegant pieces, from beds to couches, from shelves to tables. Thomas loves to work with materials that would otherwise be thrown away. This ethical standard has created a truly positive reputation for him as a furniture designer.
Thomas Bina said:
The material of wood itself gives me an amazing amount of creative ideas. I focus on using reclaimed wood in my designs and the wood I use has the most incredible characters and textures. My passion is sourcing hard-to-find materials, from to Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay for woods like louro preto, angelim, jatobá, roxinho, canafistula and imbuia — most of them salvaged from demolished derelict buildings, old coffee factories and telephone poles.
We stock Thomas’ designs through Sonder Distribution, a name that is synonymous with quality innovation and design. They collaborate with some of the industry’s most celebrated contemporary designers including Kelly Hoppen, Boyd, Andrew Martin, Maison55, Nellcote Studio and Coup&Co. From eclectic individualism through to mid-century modernism, each designer creates pieces infused with rich narratives and creative stories.
