Contemporary lighting is the perfect way to let your interior design shine. That’s why the divine Ro Sham Beaux has redefined the market through their modern, traditional and bespoke lighting collections.
Principal Designer Ann Yancy was raised in Asheville, North Carolina and studied sculpture, metal-smithing and jewelry-making at the Portland School of Art. After her first lighting line, she settled in Charleston, South Carolina to launch Ro Sham Beaux in 2010.
Ro Sham Beaux is described as a fusion of Charleston, South Carolina, meets Venice Beach, California; the meeting of East Coast style with West Coast flavor. The design team perfectly merge high design with natural elements from around the world, including:
- Hemp wrapped fixtures
- Antique brass
- Polished nickel.
- Hand strung beads
These beads are carefully selected from a curated collection of minerals such as lustrous crystals, textured quartz and recycled glass. These materials combine to give each luxury lighting collections a unique aesthetic.
Ro Sham Beaux take a fresh approach to contemporary lighting design. They always keep an eye towards the future, but with a reverence to the past. With uncompromising craftsmanship, they always utilize sustainable materials where possible, including recycled steel/beads, hemp, and organic cotton. Ann’s cutting edge designs also allow clients to personalize lighting for their own particular style and taste.
Ann Yancy said:
I’m inspired by the natural elements of the earth and sea. I tend to move towards elements that don’t harm the environment, including hemp, steel and natural stones.
Behind the label is a team of highly skilled individuals who work with purpose and enthusiasm. Each fixture is carefully designed with unparalleled attention to detail; transforming earth derived materials with an ease of taste and style.
Ro Sham Beaux can be found in some of the finest stores from Beverly Hills to the Cayman Islands, and of course, with us at Brass&Burl.
We hope you enjoy their casual and luxurious lighting designs as much as we do.
