Timeless Rug - Taupe

A distinctive Armenian (Caucasus region) design dating to the first half of the 17th is made even more unusual in its modern interpretation. Originally executed in a conventional palette of deep brick-red inner field with pattern details in blues, yellow brown-black, violet and white, it is newly reimagined on a soft and subtly nuanced neutral ground. Details in persimmon, smoky blues, violet, soft green and caf? au lait are delicately patinated to convey the impression of authenticity and age. Its ornamentation mirrors that of the ancient piece, with a variegated stem pattern, cup palmettes, arabesque leaves and flattened hexagons. The floral work includes rosettes and irises. Enhanced by its shimmering taupe ground, the overall effect is of supreme refinement and elegance.


Care Instructions: Nourison recommends only the use of Woolite or other compatible Carpet Cleaner for the cleaning of all rugs. Apply the Woolite with a soft bristle brush, rinse with water, and extract with a vacuum or extractor. The rug should then be dried by air or low temperature hair dryer. The use of any other cleaning solvent will void the Nourison warranty, and make the cleaning service solely responsible for any damage caused to the rug. Nourison does not guarantee that these methods work and should be used as a guideline only. If in doubt, call a reputable cleaner.
