FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1.  Is Brass & Burl a manufacturer?   
          The short answer is 'No'.  Brass & Burl, Inc is a retailer of furniture made by manufacturers from all across the world.  In some cases, Brass & Burl has designed furniture to meet the needs of our customers, but the actual manufacturing is performed by a specialist manufacturer.  Brass and Burl does not offer wholesale pricing.

2.  Where is our furniture made?
          Some items are made in more than one region or country, for instance a chair frame might be made in Indonesia, and then upholstered in North Carolina with fabric made in Italy.  If you have questions regarding specific items, please ask us at contact@brassandburl.com.


3.  Can items with fabric upholstery be made my own fabric (or the client's) fabric?   
          If COM requirements are given in the product description, then yes.  If no COM requirements are shown, please inquire at sales@brassandburl.com.  Some of our manufacturers may perform custom upholstery work on select items, others cannot.

4.  How long have you been in business?
          Brass and Burl, Inc. has been operating since 2015 as a retailer domiciled in the state of New York.  Our partners and manufacturers vary, but most have been in operation for many years.

5.  Do you have a physical location or showroom that I can come to?
          Yes, we have a showroom located at 404 Montauk Highway, East Hampton NY.  Please NOTE:  only a small assortment from our manufacturers is on display at any point in time.  We cary thousands of items from many different manufacturers and are not able to stock every item at all times.

6.  Do you allow returns?
          The short answer is no.  Please see our Return Policy .  Make sure you review all sizes, finishes, colors, and options before placing an order.  Once an item is in transit, the order cannot be canceled or refunded.  Customers are always protected in the event an item is damaged in transit.

7.  Is Shipping Free?  Do you offer White Glove Delivery?
          Shipping is always free within the continental United States.  White glove delivery is standard on large furniture items.  Smaller items are often shipped via UPS or FedEx.  Other services may be offered depending on the item(s) and destination(s).  For more information, please see our Shipping Policy .

8.  Do you take Bitcoin or other virtual currencies?.  How does that work?
          Bitcoin or other virtual coins may be an option at checkout.  You may pay through BitPay, or another third-party processor.  Additional transaction fees may apply.  For more information, please inquire at contact@brassandburl.com.

9.  Do you offer design services?
          Brass and Burl offers in-house design help on an ad-hoc basis.  We also work with interior design firms in several metropolitan areas.  For more information, please inquire at contact@brassandburl.com

10.  How does shipping actually work?
          All prices include free shipping.  For most large items, this means white-glove delivery service.  White Glove delivery generally means the furniture or item(s) will be brought into your home, assembled if necessary, and placed in the room of your choice.  For smaller items, a carrier such as FedEx or UPS may be used.
